Long-haul flight to Rio made easier for Paralympians

The Australian Paralympic Committee is working to develop bespoke seating to improve flight comfort for their athletes ahead of Rio 2016.
After identifying an issue with recovery time for their athletes, the performance services staff launched this seating project to improve comfort and performance.
ForeSite SS is being used by engineers to assist in relieving pressure points for each athlete and developing their own custom cushion.
The majority of Australia's 170 Rio-bound Paralympians are undertaking personalized testing sessions with seating engineers.
Testing involves the use of an XSENSOR map, to measure pressure points for athletes. It's also an educational tool that gives the athlete an idea of how they can relieve pressure themselves.
